Website Design
A quick post to share some of my pet website design recommendations:
- Phone number in header, your phone number should be on top of every page of your website. If you want customers to call your business then you need to make it easy for them to do so.
- Name image file names, helps Google to read your images. Google is a computer it can't see what a picture is unless you tell them via text descriptions.
- Essay structure - Think of you webpage as a school assignment, it needs a logical menu(index page), each page should be about a particular product/service. Listing everything you do on one page makes it difficult for Google to know the priority for that page is.
- Moving images - A contentious issue as they are highly visual and effective (maybe too effective). The issue with moving images is they distract the eye making it difficult to read content on the page. My recommendation is to have them scroll through once, and try to limit them to the homepage if possible.
- Call to action - Make sure each page has a call to action and a clear objective for your customers.
